Automation Engineer / PLC Programmer (m/f/d)

Your mission

  • PLC programming (SCL, graph sequential control) from the requirements to the specification, right up to the design and implementation
  • Development of control concepts for devices and modules and interface to app/cloud
  • Development of the communication interfaces to different hardware components (e.g. drives, robots, cooking stations, dishwashers, AC)
  • Error analysis and troubleshooting as part of 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Creation of drafts and documentations, and management of collaboration with external technology suppliers

Your profile

  • Very good knowledge in PLC programming (TIA Portal or Twincat) with hands-on professional/ project experience
  • Experience with fieldbus systems (e.g. Profinet, CANopen, OPCUA, Ethernet TCP/IP or EtherCAT)
  • Experience with the commissioning of machines and plants and with the integration of sensors/drives/robots in PLC
  • Self-organization, solution-orientation as well as an independent and proactive work approach
Preferred qualifications (experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable)
  • Experience in robotics and practical experience in implementing industrial applications with robots
  • First experience with version control systems (e.g. GIT) and code sharing platforms (e.g. GitHub, Bitbucket)
  • Experience in implementing software systems with C++ on embedded Linux and RTOS platforms, ideally in the area of IoT and edge devices
